It is also for teachers and adults going in the school industry. Please bring an item that will provide you in your education, whether it be a back pack, water bottle or a lunch box. Devotions from God Pause: Paul preaches to the Gentiles that the righteousness that comes through our faith does not rest on seeking to complete actions that depend on living by the law. In the new covenant that depends on Jesus we hear instead the promise: “If you confess that Jesus Lord and believe that God raised Jesus from the dead, you will be saved.” This word is the heart of faith. We often try to do good works, but we fail to do so. But Paul speaks of a new hope in Jesus Christ. In Jesus Christ, by the Word of grace, everything has changed. By trusting in God’s word of grace we have received the most important thing for Christian life, and that is grace. Grace is given to us through Christ’s death and resurrection. By God’s grace, we simply receive it through our faith in the Lord. Sunday Bible Study: Bible Study will meet at 11:00 a.m. following morning worship in the classroom near the church office. We invite questions, comments, and connections, as we expand upon the readings from the worship service. |
Dinner with Friends on Thursday, September 10. Each month, on the second Thursday, a host from St Paul Lutheran Church will choose a restaurant. The host will make the group reservation. Severe Weather. Our church follows the school closings. If Winterset schools are closed or dismiss early due to weather, there will be NO church activities. For weekend services, school breaks and for general purposes, please use your own judgement.

| Women’s Bible Study, First and Third Tuesday of the month, 9:00am. We meet in the quilting room / large classroom at the church. Choir practices on Wednesdays, September-May at 7:10pm- 8:15pm. All are welcome. Join us for Monday morning Coffee Fellowship this coming September. The coffee pot will be on. Tea bags and hot chocolate packets are also available. No strings attached-just a chance to visit others in the comfort of the high school and junior high rooms at St. Paul’s at 9:00 am on Monday mornings.
