Madison County has experienced a spike in positive COVID-19 cases over the last week, and in accordance with the guidelines established by the re-entry task force, we must suspend In-person Sunday worship service until further notice.
We knew that conditions could fluctuate and that we might have to return to virtual worship. Our guidelines state that we are to be experiencing a clear downward trajectory in positive cases for four consecutive weeks to be able to meet in social gatherings of more than 10 people. Clearly, the increase is the wrong trajectory.
We will continue to hold virtual worship on Facebook Live that we began June 28 in conjunction with the in-person worship services.
Please note that worship July 12 will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Facebook Live. This earlier start will give people time to arrive for the Congregational Meeting at 9:45 a.m. to be held outdoors at the church on the west parking lot and lawn.
