Friday, April 23 Announcements: Worship, Blood Drive, Upcoming Food Pantry Sunday & More!

Good morning. Here are the Friday announcements!

1. Please join us as we worship in-house this week, April 25, 9:30 am.  You are also welcome to watch the service livestreamed at 9:30 a.m. each Sunday on our YouTube channel found at this link:
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXGS1lerfFbq3qHAywQcofQ

For the health and safety of all those attending in-house worship we ask those attending to adhere to our COVID safety guidelines that include:

  • ·      Wearing a mask while on church property
  • ·      Maintaining 6ft distance from people outside your household
  • ·      Greeting each other with a wave or similar distanced sign of welcome

Pastor Ioanwill be delivering a sermon based on John 10:11-18. Below is a devotion based on that Scripture:

Who are those other sheep? In what other fold? And how shall we come together? Perhaps those of us who care deeply about the gospel might get tied up in this. Jesus does not offer any explanation, and, in fact, takes responsibility for bringing the sheep together onto his own shoulders.

If you have evangelical instincts, even if you shy away from giving witness, this could be confusing. Yet, Jesus’ promise is that he knows us, and he lays down his life for the sheep. If we are among the sheep, might that not be enough to know? Do we have any responsibility other than to know Jesus, and to be welcoming when we find ourselves together with other folds? – Catherine Malotky
