Worship with us, July 27, 9:30am. Join us in person or on our YouTube channel. Pastor Erick will preach on Luke 11:1-13 Upcoming Worship Helpers July 27, 9:30 am Greeters/ Ushers: Ken and Janelle Kroska Reader: Cheryl Young Sound/ Screen/ Streaming: Jacque Mohs Musician: Clarice Blanchard Counters: Lisa Vossekuil and Wayne Martens Communion Server: Linda Kenyon and Communion Bread: Kristi Swanson Acolytes/ Crucifer: Devotions from God Pause: I enjoy Facebook, especially posting pictures of my travels. I have family and friends on both sides of the political spectrum and some like to post their views. I have usually refrained from reposting political comments that flood Facebook, but occasionally I do respond to a post on a particular issue. I still remember when one person called my response “stupid.” For me such a comment is very personal, for I was considered stupid by my grade school teachers and classmates. I immediately unfriended that person. Our psalm today addresses who can enter God’s place of worship. But the psalm can also address our relationship we have with our family and friends, reminding us to speak the truth, and not to slander or do evil to our friends (vs.2-3). In our politically charged world that is not always easy, but as Christians we need to offer this witness to the world. “Join us for Meeting on Monday! ![]() Sunday Bible Study: Bible Study will meet at 11:00 a.m. following morning worship in the front most classroom near the church office. During the class, we invite questions, comments, and connections, as we expand upon the readings from the worship service. |

Lutheran Disaster Response to Texas Floods. Our hearts break anew with each update about the catastrophic flash floods in South Central Texas. We join the Rev. Sue Briner, bishop of the Southwestern Texas Synod, in her call to “pray, pray, pray for those who are still lost as well as the families of those who are lost, who have died, or who have experienced loss of home or property.” As ever and with your support, the ELCA, through Lutheran Disaster Response, stands ready to walk with our neighbors in the Texas hill country as the floodwaters recede and communities begin to navigate life on the other side of this horrific flood.
May we be bearers of the hope found in Christ alone and help shoulder the burden for those who grieve unimaginable loss. You may give through St Paul with your offering specifically earmarked for Lutheran Disaster Relief-Texas or by using this link:
