Devotions from God Pause: Three of my four children are teenagers. As they make their way through the world, I often sit back and watch their choices with a mix of curiosity and trepidation. I am reminded daily how challenging life can be as I see them encounter the fullness of their life and their becoming. I wonder if God sees our choices, our growth, our becoming, somewhat in the same manner. Today’s verses invite us to remember our baptism. I hold strong to this promise of resurrection after death each and every day. In the messiness of growing up and in our own wanderings, the Spirit is near. She meets us no matter where we are and provides a future. I trust her love calls us by name, and especially in the wilderness, helping us to “grow with a growth that is from God.” (Col. 2:19)
