In one of his posts he reflected on the value of morality and character, based on his experience as a U.S. Marine officer during the war in Iraq. He wrote, “Intelligence without humility or cleverness without kindness leads to con men, conniving corporate climbers, and various other jerks.” I think Trygve must understand along with Saint Paul that God’s wisdom is often at odds with what in this world counts for wisdom, influence, and power. That was demonstrated most clearly in the cross of Christ. The richness of God’s grace is found in the humblest of people and places and in the likes of you and me. Join us for Monday morning Coffee Fellowship: The coffee pot will be on. Tea bags and hot chocolate packets are also available.  No strings attached-just a chance to visit others in the comfort of the high school and junior high rooms at St. Paul’s at 9:00 am on Monday mornings. If  Winterset schools are cancelled or delayed, there will be no coffee.  Sunday Bible Study:  Bible Study will meet at 11:00 a.m. following morning worship in the front most classroom near the church office. During the class, we invite questions, comments, and connections, as we expand upon the readings from the worship service.

Transportation Ministry  Women Infants and Children Services (WIC) Pill Bottle Donations Matura Food Pantry St Paul Trust Fund Furniture Ministry Pool of Siloam LifeServe Blood Drive Help is needed for those experiencing hunger in Madison County.  Donations of the following items would be most appreciated: canned fruits and vegetables, peanut butter and jelly, pasta and sauce, cereal, soups, macaroni and cheese, Also, shampoo and deodorant .  You may place your contribution in the grocery cart.  A basket will be included for monetary donations.  Checks should be made payable to MATURA.
