Devotions from God Pause: This pleading prayer to God, that God would remember to be merciful and just, and that God would keep God’s promises to be about love and faithfulness, seems a bit odd. Of course, God, being God, would be about the promise to grant mercy and forgiveness! Perhaps the psalmist has gotten into a heap of trouble, seeing the only way out of the present torment being to turn finally to God. Or… maybe the psalmist is instead simply lifting up the reminder that God is indeed to be trusted, that God will remain steadfast through all of life’s struggles, temptations, griefs and pains. Even as God promises to be with and guide them, God will give them the strength, patience and courage to love God and work at keeping God’s commandments in return.

“Join us for Meeting on Monday! ☕️ The coffee pot will be on. Tea bags and hot chocolate packets also available.  No strings attached – just a chance to visit with others in the comfort of the high school and junior high rooms at St. Paul’s. at 9:00 am on Monday mornings.

Sunday Bible Study:  Bible Study will meet at 11:00 a.m. following morning worship in the front most classroom near the church office. During the class, we invite questions, comments, and connections, as we expand upon the readings from the worship service.

Furniture Ministry Storage and Giving. The Furniture Ministry continues to be a calling for so many of our congregants. You donate your home goods, you help load and unload it, and you identify those in need. The Annual Meeting Report from February 2025 shows that 58 families donated furniture and 50 families received furniture. We had monetary donations of $4535 to help with storage rent. Now, we are losing the donated space of a two-car garage, and so we are in need of an equivalent space replacement, if at all possible.  Please reach out if you have space to hold furniture while it is in transition between giver and receiver by contacting Lisa Vossekuil or Wayne Martens. Thank you for your support of this ministry!

Lutheran Disaster Response to Texas Floods. Our hearts break anew with each update about the catastrophic flash floods in South Central Texas. We join the Rev. Sue Briner, bishop of the Southwestern Texas Synod, in her call to “pray, pray, pray for those who are still lost as well as the families of those who are lost, who have died, or who have experienced loss of home or property.”  As ever and with your support, the ELCA, through Lutheran Disaster Response, stands ready to walk with our neighbors in the Texas hill country as the floodwaters recede and communities begin to navigate life on the other side of this horrific flood.
May we be bearers of the hope found in Christ alone and help shoulder the burden for those who grieve unimaginable loss. You may give through St Paul with your offering specifically earmarked for Lutheran Disaster Relief-Texas or by using this link:
