Devotions from God Pause In this amazing vision of John, we read of the greatest change of all, the complete redemption of all that is, all that was, and all that will be. Here are angels and living creatures and the elders, gathered together in worship of the “Lamb that was slaughtered,” our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We who live in the present, in this time of waiting for this culminating event, certainly may question “What do we do in the meantime?” We live in hope of God’s mercy looking forward to that time. We also live in this time in a world in need of God’s love and grace. We live working to change the world we live in, pointing to this time yet to come when everyone can sing, “To the one seated on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever!” Amen!

The New Hosta Garden.  In the next 2 weeks we will be finishing up a raised bed hosta garden in the center circle drive area between the trees.  If you want to SHARE  existing hostas that you may have at your home by splitting them and giving us a nice piece to add in our new garden that would be great. We want all colors, and sizes.  Look behind the bird feeder to see the new bed’s progress. This attraction will certainly add to the new beauty of the circle drive area at almost no cost.  Questions – See Rich Thompson The perennial flowers, shrubs and trees planted last year are all alive and growing. YEA!  There will be a few new perennials added in the Circle Drive Area this year to compliment many of the existing flowers and shrubs over the past 20 years. The Mini Sanctuary Garden in honor of Twila Siebert is progressing in the WEST Circle Drive area with shared plants, rocks, table and chairs, bird feeders, bird bath and more from her beautiful yard being used to create a special place.

Saint Paul Community Garden. The Saint Paul Community Garden is nearly all planted at this point.  1 small space remains.   We do this in conjunction with the Catholic Church who also has a garden space available.  It is west of our church. This garden space, originally started by Jim Nelson, is available FREE for anyone in the Winterset area to use. You can drive your vehicle right up to the garden.  Water and mulch is available to use throughout the summer.
Rules –
1.    Contact Rich Thompson. 515-468-0383 to get a space reserved and staked out.
2.    Take care of the space by planting, weeding and caring for the plants.
3.    At the end of the growing season remove all of your plant materials and put them in the composting pile.  Remove all cages, stakes, etc. so we can plow the space.
