Congratulations, Graduates!
Today we celebrate the accomplishments of our four graduating seniors from St. Paul Lutheran Church: Emma Allen, Parker Anderson, Madison Berns, and Caitlyn Truckenbrod. Please enjoy a cake and punch reception in their honor at 9:30 as they receive their quilts and well wishes from their church family!
Thank you and Godspeed, Nate!
Youth Director Nate Mason has been a mentor and guide for young people in Winterset for nearly five years and with three congregations. On Wednesday, May 29 Nate will have his last gathering with Junior High and High School students before he begins a new pastoral position in Corydon. Please take some time to thank Nate for his good work among our youth and wish him farewell by sending him an email to wintersetyouth@gmail.com, or you may drop a card in his mailbox in the narthex.
Thank you, Concessions Volunteers!
We would like to give a special word of thanks to all those who supported our 2020 Youth Mission Trip by serving in the Little League concession stand this week. Your help selling snacks to hungry sports fans was greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Info about St. Paul Lutheran Church & RagBrai
We are hoping to serve our “Pasta Bar” to 400 people while the bikers are in town on Monday, July 22nd, 2019. The Pasta Bar will open at noon and serve until 7 pm.
Monetary donations that will be used to purchase ingredients for the Pasta Bar recipes are needed!! Don’t forget to sign up if you are willing to give monetarily. Please understand that St Paul’s committee will be purchasing the ingredients for the pasta salads prior to July 22nd using the donations made. The pasta salads have to be prepared at the church on Monday, July 22nd, no exceptions. We will begin at 6 am. No salads that will be served, can be made outside of the church or prior to July 22nd. This is the state inspector’s rule. Anything made outside of the church will be thrown out by the state inspector.
RAGBRAI Bake Sale
Cookies and Brownies: The bake sale will coincide with the pasta bar, noon – 7 pm. We will be selling individually wrapped cookies & brownies. The cookies and brownies can be made at home, as long as they do not need to be refrigerated. Please make sure if you signed up to make cookies or brownies that they are individually wrapped when you bring them into church.
Pies will also be sold as well. The committee will determine if we will be selling by the slice, depending on the demand. Remember, anyone who signed up to make a pie(s), make sure they do not have to be refrigerated.

CRISP School Supply Drive
Even though school is still in session, the CRISP office is gearing up for the school supplies drive for the 2019-2020 school year.
This year we are requesting cash donations versus actual school supplies. This allows us to buy in bulk, provide more consistency in the backpacks and makes it easier for us due to our pending office relocation. If you are interested in sponsoring a student, it costs an average of $40 per child to provide them with backpack and supplies for the school year. However, donations in any amount are GREATLY appreciated. All donations may be sent to CRISP, 110 W. Washington St. Winterset, IA 50273.
The CRISP office is also looking for additional volunteers to help with the school supply drive and other programs throughout the year. If you are interested, please contact the CRISP office at 515-462-9400.
Many Thanks!
The St. Paul Adult Choir would like to thank Rich Thompson and the thoughtfulness, time and craftsmanship he put into the new box to hold our choir folders. THANKS RICH!!
