Annual Meeting  |  Between services – Sunday, February 16th

Please join us for the Annual Congregational Meeting to be held on February 16th between services.  At the 2019 Annual Meeting the Fiscal Year was changed from being a calendar year to running from February 1 through January 31, as a consequence the annual meeting has been moved to the month of February to accommodate the new fiscal year end and the budget cycle.   The annual meeting of the congregation will include the review and approval of the operating budget, a report on the status of the capital campaign and church debt status, an election to vote for new council members and some standing committees, and a brief update on status and work of the Call Committee.  Please mark your calendar today and plan to attend – as all Iowa knows in this excruciatingly long election ‘season’- your VOTE can’t count if you don’t attend the meeting.

Pastoral Candidate Names

Please feel free to complete a Nomination for Pastoral Candidate form if you know of a Pastor that you would like the Call Committee to consider.  Nomination forms can be found on the usher’s table.

Faith in Film Series

Our Faith in Film 2020 is the second year of this ecumenical project, a partnership between Winterset churches and The Iowa Theater. To be held Sundays leading up to Easter, the aims are to share our faith during the season of Lent through well-chosen films, promote the unity of the churches of Winterset, and provide social ministries to Madison County citizens. This year, the project is featuring contemporary film, appropriate for discussion by youth and adults alike.  Films are free to the public with a good will donation to CRISP or Matura Madison County. The congregation of St. Paul can support this project by sponsoring a film. Ann Bartelt is now accepting your generous donations to this project. Please contact her with any questions 515-418-3565.

NEW Lock Box available for secure communications

Please note that for those who wish to securely leave an item for the church office may now do so during non-office hours in the locked-box mounted on the wall near the church entrance.  Offering checks, confirmation sermon notes, or other communications for the office manager or pastor may be left securely in this fashion.  Special thanks go to Rich & Genelle Thompson for creating and donating this beautiful piece to assist us.

Thank you

From the Stewardship Committee to all who participated in Trivia Day with us last Sunday! We had lots of fun and fellowship! Thank you also to everyone for bringing snacks to enjoy during the afternoon.

THANK YOU!  THANK YOU!  THANK YOU!

We so appreciate your help in making Christmas a little brighter for Madison County families in need!  We continue to be in awe of the generosity of our local residents.  Your kindness, caring and support really do make a HUGE difference.  Thank to you, and other generous donors, we were able to serve 221 children through the Christmas4Kids program this year!  We hope you had a joyous Christmas and we wish you and yours a healthy and happy 2020!
