Introducing Our 2020 Lenten Weekday Worship Series
Join us each Wednesday evening beginning March 4th as we gather at 6:30pm to share a supper. Service will begin at 7:00pm each week.
When Jesus’ disciples asked Jesus to teach them how to pray, Jesus gave them what we now call “The Lord’s Prayer”, or some call it “The Our Father.” At our weekly worship services throughout the season of Lent, we will be taking a good look at this remarkable gift which Jesus offered, through a series of spoken messages which will be given by members of our church.
We will delight and grow together, as we expand our understanding of each of these extraordinary petitions which Jesus has taught us.
February 26th – Ash Wednesday: Pastor Brian will be sharing the Ash Wednesday sermon in a joint St. Paul Lutheran/First United Presbyterian worship service at 7:00pm AT the First United Presbyterian Church.
Our theme or focus during the subsequent weeks will be as follows:
Wednesday, March 4th, speaker Heather Jelsma – Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be they name
Wednesday, March 11th, speaker Alan Feirer– Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Wednesday, March 18th, speaker Peyton Dick – Give us this day, our daily bread
Wednesday, March 25th, speaker Brad Tadlock – Forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us
Wednesday, April 1st, speaker Brenda Hollingsworth – Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Thursday, April 9th, speaker Ted Leonard – For thine is the kingdom, and the power and the glory, forever and ever. AMEN.

Company’s Coming – Readying the Church Property for Pastoral Candidates
All Church Work Day – Saturday, February 22, 8:00 am
Pastoral candidates will see our property through new eyes; could they imagine themselves serving our church? In anticipation of these visits, we want to be prepared with fresh, clean, uncluttered spaces. We all know how important first impressions are: Does our church reflect not only our mission, but also our love for all those we welcome here? To ready ourselves for company, let’s aim for a bright clean polished look, get rid of clutter, and put everything in its place. Much thanks to the decorating crew who have already (and always!) set the bar for an attractive, welcoming building.
Join us on Saturday, February 22, starting at 8:00 am. Come and go as your schedule allows. We will have the lift here to clean the sanctuary glass and windows. Bring your favorite cleaning and polishing supplies for the areas where you’d like to work. Much thanks for your service. Together, this will make light work and much fun.
